I’ve been treated by Dr. Hervé for a meniscus surgery on my left knee, specifically for a bucket-handle tear. I consulted with Dr Herve for a second opinion after tearing my ACL for the second time, playing rugby. (The first opinion i had at another clinic in Dubai, was to basically do nothing and just wait for it to hill - which honestly did not feel adapted at all to a sports injury).
Dr Herve was very professional, clear and reassuring from the start. He took the time to explain my situation properly, the different options I had, and the consequences of having surgery or not. I was very reluctant to go through surgery again, and he was extremely clear about everything without ever pushing me in one direction. He does not push for surgery or unnecessary treatment, which honestly makes a big difference in Dubai. He also gave very helpful advice and recommendations, including around the practical and insurance side.

I underwent surgery for a high-grade proximal hamstring avulsion with 4 cm retraction, a complex and relatively uncommon procedure, especially here in the UAE. From the very beginning, Dr. Herve Ouanezar was exceptional in his communication, and made me feel very confident in going ahead with the procedure.
He performed the surgery alongside Dr. Ahmed Al Bakoury, and together they did an outstanding job. Given the risks and technical difficulty involved, I felt I was in highly capable hands throughout the entire process.
Now, 6 months post-operation, my recovery has exceeded expectations. I’m already back to jogging and progressing ahead of schedule, with the goal of returning fully to sports soon. This outcome is a true testament to the skill and expertise of the surgical team.

He's an amazing doctor! I had been severely misdiagnosed — there was a small tear in my meniscus. Before visiting Dr. Hervé, I spent nearly six months consulting various doctors and undergoing intensive physiotherapy, following every guideline provided by both the doctor and the physio. Despite all that effort and complete rest, there was hardly any improvement, and I was eventually advised to undergo surgery.
At that point, I decided to seek a second opinion — and luckily, I came acros Dr. Hervé. During my very first he didn’t even look at my MRI scan initially; instead, he asked me to lie down and examined my knee from various angles. Within minutes, he confidently concluded that no surgery was required — and He then referred me to a physiotherapist and gave clear guidance. It’s now been about four weeks, and I’m already noticing remarkable improvement in my knee.
I strongly, strongly recommend anyone reading this to visit Dr. Hervé. Unlike many doctors who are quick to suggest surgery, he focuses on accurate diagnosis and the right treatment — which truly makes all the difference in recovery.
